Bethany 101

Born and raised in Northern Wisconsin, I moved with my family to Durango Colorado for the amazing weather, the wonderful people and did I say the amazing weather? If you ask anyone who moves to Durango, they have a story of how they got there. Most will mention a tractor beam type experience, that they were pulled in. Yup- we totally had that. I have 2 boys, Evan is 17 (yikes) and Aiden is 12 going on 35. They are amazing kids- both polar opposite, but that keeps things interesting right? I struggle sometimes as a parent with thoughts like "Holy Crap! What did he just say?- I never said things like that when I was a kid", "Why do boys have to talk about farts so much!", "Whatever you say, DO NOT SAY 'Because I said so'!" Oh the parental path- am I lost?? I am still waiting for the owner's manual to come out.

I still can't believe how lucky/blessed that I was when my husband came into my life. I constantly sing the song in my head from Sound of Music, you know that one "Maybe in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good!" because I hit the Mega Powerball Jackpot with Trapper and I don't know how I did it. If I believed in cloning, I would sign him up because all women deserve to be treated like a queen/princess/diva like he treats me. We met in 1st grade basically (small town) but we did not start dating until after his first 4 years of college and I was just finishing my first 4 years. We got engaged and moved to Minneapolis so he could get his doctorate in Chiropractic. A journey that has opened our eyes and our lives to true and authentic growth and health. I don't know if words could ever express how much Chiropractic has changed my life- I would not be the person I am if it wasn't for the amazing core healing that Chiropractic offers. I love my kids, I love my husband- and I LOVE to talk about Chiropractic. I guess that is why I started this blog, I needed to talk about it more :)

I grew up drinking pop, eating food out of a box and watching a lot of tv. I mean A LOT of TV. Honestly, if there was a show where you had to name 80's characters, show names or music- I would reign! Tutti on Facts of Life was like a 2nd sister. I had my first lesson in foreign policy from watching endless MASH episodes. and I will never forget Janet Jackson's first role in Good Times- before she became the diva that she was.
I was going down the road that most do, doing what everyone does, eating what everyone eats and then of course, getting what everyone gets (that is how that formula works). Confused why everything was hard, thinking life was over at 19 and prepping to put my head down and work for the next 50 years so I could make enough to go to Florida in the winters. Lame! Not that Florida is lame, it is pretty cool actually, the lame part was the lack of life. Trapper and Chiropractic thankfully cracked me out of my shell and opened up an endless universe of possibilities. I now live in gratitude each day. Above Down Inside Out Baby!

So that is me in a nutshell. It feels weird to write about yourself, you should try it sometime- awkward! Chiropractic has been a life changing experience for me and I know more people need to learn about, so that is why I write. Chiropractic does not make the AMA & drug companies any money so they have created a crazy marketing ploy to make people think that it is unneeded (I am being polite)- so I want to share what I know about heath to be true, because if our country keeps going down the 'health' road that it is- we are in a lot of trouble. Well, we already in a lot of trouble so we better get crackin' (pun intended).
